The Academy Awards
The Academy Awards, also known as the Oscars, is an award show held every year for the film industry. It began in 1929 and is still going strong today, with upwards of 18 million viewers annually, broadcasted worldwide. Many celebrites gather at this ceremony to celebrate and honor accomplishments in filmmaking, costuming, directing, and cinematography.
The most recent awards were held March 2, 2025 in Los Angeles. The next Academy Awards ceremony is scheduled for March 15, 2026.
